Read the testimonials of Déborah Langlois, Human Resources Manager, and Bran Thevenet, Lead Recruiter at Powens (formerly Budget Insight), who tell us about their backgrounds, what led them to recruitment, and how Teamtailor has become their central recruitment tool, saving them time and helping them to rapidly grow their workforce.

I'm Lia, one of the Marketing Managers here at Teamtailor, responsible for the French market. I grew up in Paris but moved to Stockholm when I finished my studies where I am based now. I love learning more about all the HR topics, from candidate experience to employer branding, etc.
Déborah and Bran are both recruiters, yet they come from different backgrounds.
Déborah has a degree in Psychology before her Masters in Human Resources. Having a background in psychology or sales is ultimately an advantage for the recruiter for several reasons.
For Déborah, her knowledge of psychology has taught her to take a step back and take the time to assess candidates. In her view, recruitment should be seen as an exchange, and the aim is to understand how the person in front of you works, whether he or she is a candidate or an employee.
In her view, human resources and psychology are closely linked, and it's not for nothing that more and more companies are adding personality tests to their recruitment process to ensure that the candidate's personality matches the company's vision and culture.
Bran shared another route to becoming a recruite: he went to business school education and started a career with a more commercial profile. Bran explains that it's becoming increasingly common for recruiters to start in sales. Indeed, recruitment is akin to sales: the recruiter sells the company and the position to the candidate, and managing applications is very similar to managing prospects and customers.
Over and above their respective training courses, if there's one indispensable tool to make their day-to-day lives easier, it's the ATS. Powens chose to embark on this adventure with Teamtailor just over a year ago.
“It's become our central recruitment tool: everything goes through Teamtailor, from recruitment to onboarding,” says Bran.
This is made possible by the partner integrations available directly from Teamtailor. Integration with the various recruitment platforms is an undeniable asset, especially integration with Welcome to the Jungle, which remains an essential showcase for candidates. For Deborah and Bran, another essential integration is with Lucca (HRIS), as this creates continuity between recruitment and employee management.
Teamtailor makes the recruitment process smoother and more collaborative, enabling us to do more in the same amount of time, while enhancing our attractiveness and employer brand.
Bran Thévenet, Lead recruiter.
It's an undeniable time-saver on the recruitment side, allowing you to concentrate on high value-added tasks.
Déborah Langlois, Human Resources Manager for Tech and Product profiles.
Most importantly, their implementation of an ATS saved them valuable time, which was otherwise spent on administrative tasks. Many tasks were done manually via Google Sheets and this quickly became problematic with their need to scale.
“It saves time on the hiring tasks that don't add much value,” explains Déborah.
Automating the posting of job ads, centralizing all candidates in the process, automating candidate communications via text or email, scheduling interviews and candidate appointments, are all functionalities available in Teamtailor to facilitate a better hiring process for both the candidate and the hiring manager.
For Bran, he also notes better management of personal candidate data in the context of GDPR and other privacy laws. If not handled properly, this could grow into a much larger issue, so it was important for Bran that any ATS can comply with these requirements. Teamtailor satisfies this need, enabling them to have better management of candidates' personal data and be worry-free from data and privacy concerns.
In short, using Teamtailor has enabled Powens to scale their business faster and increase their hiring efforts at a fraction of the time and cost.
Bran, who has used an ATS previously, chose Teamtailor in particular for the career site builder, which is simple and intuitive for anyone to use.
In Bran's words, Teamtailor enables:
Deborah: It depends on the job and the position, but generally speaking, your personality has to fit in with the company's values and culture. You have to know how to work as part of a team and be oriented towards a common goal.
Bran: Ditto, the personality and the company have to match. For more senior profiles, we expect candidates to bring a particular expertise that we don't have today.
Bran: Coaching and involving hiring managers! They are the key players in the recruitment of their team, and it's a collaborative effort between us and the managers.
Bran: Event triggering and, in particular, allowing the candidate to reserve a time slot for the interview.
Deborah: Ditto, the automation of appointment scheduling mailings.
Deborah: 8/10. I've already recommended Teamtailor, it's a real asset when recruiting.
