Nothing makes us happier than continuing to innovate and release new features for our 160.000 monthly active users 🥳 As we conclude 2024 in the product team, we look back at a year with around 40 new features and hundreds of improvements. That's more than 3 new features per month 🤯 We've put together the highlights of those updates in this post.
Thank you for using Teamtailor this year! We really hope you have enjoyed it and we can't wait to create more useful, fun and innovative solutions for you next year.
Co-pilot can now help you rediscover hidden talent in your candidate pool. By turning on “Suggest existing candidates” feature for a job, Co-pilot will recommend candidates from past processes who may be a great fit for the role.
Co-pilot can assist in generating questions for your job applications. It will suggest relevant questions for candidates based on the job title and description. Read more about this feature here.
When suggesting skills and traits for a position, Co-pilot now prioritizes reusing existing items from your library before creating new ones. This approach also applies to interview kit question suggestions, which now include various types, such as range and choice.
We have received lots of great feedback on the resume summary and we have made multiple changes that will give better results. This is an ongoing work and we are continuing the work to make the summaries as correct and helpful as possible.
Co-pilot now ensures job descriptions are both SEO-optimized and written in a gender-neutral manner, broadening their appeal and visibility.
With Teamtailor's video meeting service, Co-pilot now provides summaries that better highlight the candidate's responses, offering clearer insights. Read more about the feature here.
Co-pilot will now use the career site language instead of the default ATS language in most features. One exception is the video meeting summary which still uses the ATS language.
Our primary goal with this redesign and restructure was to enhance the information hierarchy, organizing details about candidates and their job applications in a way that provides a clear overview and facilitates quick and easy access to the most important information at the right time.
We’ve also introduced new features:
…and more. Head over to our support article to read more about the new candidate card.
Staying connected and organised in Teamtailor is now even easier with the new Comments tool. This feature brings all job-related conversations into one place, accessible from any view within the app. You and your team can quickly access important discussions, helping you stay focused on what matters most — finding the right candidates.
Inside Comments, we've also introduced a General Chat for non-job-related conversations. This space allows your team to collaborate on other topics, making communication smoother across the board.
To access these features, simply click the 💬 icon in the header navigation bar.
A fresh look and enhanced functionality
First, you’ll notice that Connect has a brand-new look. We’ve updated the design to be cleaner and more user-friendly. You can now add a cover to give your Connect page a unique flavor.
To make things easier to work with, we’ve moved all the Connect settings into one place: Content and the editor. Now, all the options you need are right at your fingertips, complete with a preview of the candidate experience. Just like working with the career site : )
We also added possibility to upload video, gifs, images and posts to Connect. You can also customize the pages to the departments and roles, to make the candidate experience even more personal.
Including a video presenter in your job ads will add a personal touch, helping candidates connect with the role and your company. They are also a great way to showcase a glimpse of your company culture. Simply go to "candidate interaction" in the job settings and upload your videos.
To make the job application form more dynamic, it’s now possible to display form questions conditionally depending on the answer of other questions. For example, if an applicant answers “Yes” to “Do you like apples?”, you could follow up by conditionally displaying “What is your favorite apple type?”
Conditional questions can depend on single-choice, multiple-choice and yes/no type of questions. And in addition to the job application form, they are also available in questionnaires sent through messages.
Improve candidate and recruiter experience by adding questions that require a yes as answer for the candidate to complete the application. A qualifying question is a yes/no question that the candidate has to answer per your recruitment criteria to be able to even fill out the rest of the application form. If the candidate answers the question in an ”unqualified way”, they will receive an immediate message that they don’t meet the job’s requirements.
Until the candidate answers Yes to the question, they will not be able to fill in the rest of the form. That way you ensure that none of the candidate’s time was wasted!
You can now use Teamtailor in dark mode. You can easily switch between light and dark mode by navigating to Your account → Settings. As a default, we’ll automatically match the appearance settings of your operating system.
Every job report now comes with insights into how candidates are moving through various stages. Armed with data on conversion rates at each stage, you can fine-tune your recruitment strategy. See progress, spot trends, and make smarter, quicker hiring decisions.
We've merged the NPS and NPS by Stage pages into one comprehensive report, making it easier for you to grasp the overall sentiment.
The new NPS report features:
If you are using our group solution, you can now generate analytic insights on group level or compare data between company accounts within the group. With Group analytics, aggregated group data will be available in the analytics overview page as well as the custom reports.
This feature requires permission from all company accounts within the group that would share their analytics data with this parent account. Once permission is obtained, the data from all accounts involved will seamlessly integrate into this parent account analytics, providing a comprehensive view for informed decision-making.
Sounds interesting? You can activate it from the Add-on features of the parent company account of the group, or by reaching out directly to your contact person here at Teamtailor.
You know the questions you ask a candidate when they apply for a job? We made the answers to them available in the custom snapshot reports for Job Applications.
With these updates you can:
We also added a new Job filter to the Job application reports, to make filtering by jobs easier.
You can now use your Custom fields in the charts and data tables you create in your Custom Historic Report.
That way you can keep even better track on the things that are unique to your company.
Understanding where your hires come from has traditionally left some questions unanswered.
With this update, you get answers to those questions in the Hires report.
And to top it off, we added the "Sources" and "Detailed sources" to Custom Reports so you can use them when you create your custom charts and tables.
We have released a new trigger for the Hired stage called Send Quality of Hire survey. This will help you determine whether the recruitment efforts led to the right hire for the job.
Each time you move a candidate to the Hired stage, a Quality of Hire survey will be sent after the selected evaluation period. The survey recipient gets an email and answer this question: Would you hire [name] again for this role?
If you are using Interview kit with Skills & Traits, you will also be able to add a new evaluation to see the Job Match Score difference between your new and previous scores.
When you are active in the Teamtailor app, a small green dot will appear beside your avatar to let your colleagues know you're online. If you prefer not to show as online, you can click "Set yourself as away".
Let your colleagues know your current status with messages like "On vacation" or "Childcare". You can also pause notifications and notify other members of your hiring team when you receive a message from a candidate. This ensures your candidates aren't left in the dark when you're away.
We’re excited to introduce a new feature to enhance job management: job symbols. Now, each internal job title will have a customizable symbol—whether a letter, emoji, or icon—making it easier to quickly scan and distinguish jobs throughout the tool.
We've worked hard at improving the Teamtailor video meetings experience, and it is now better than ever.
On top of making some improvements to the overall design, like with the new meeting preview view, or the new record meeting button which also displays the elapsed recording time, we also added some new features:
We've started rolling out a new video provider for the video meetings, which will make the video call and recording quality sharper, while also allowing users to blur their backgrounds or choose one of the default custom ones.
We've added a lobby/waiting room to our video meetings. This means that users that are not authenticated (candidates) will be put in a waiting room first instead of directly entering a meeting. Authenticated users on the other hand (recruiters), can still enter the meeting straight away, and will then be notified when a candidate is ready to join the meeting, as well as be able to admit them.
You can now exchange chat messages with your candidates inside a video meeting. The chat history will also be available in the meeting card once the meeting is concluded.
Automatically open a conversation with your candidate in WhatsApp, by hovering the mouse over the number and clicking the new WhatsApp button. This makes it easy for you to quickly get in touch with your candidates and reach them where they are 🚀 Messages that are sent through WhatsApp will not be visible in Teamtailor.
Keep data consistent with three fields instead of one: Salary, Currency and Recurrence
Use Smart move trigger with Job offers to move candidates either based on their answer or if the offer is sent.
Get the name right from the start in the Offer message, like {first-name}
or {full-name}
.
We're now using an internationally approved date format: 26 apr 2024.
When a job offer is accepted, we added a print button in the bottom. Choose Save as PDF if you prefer that.
It's possible to change the contact person. This person is the sender of the job offer which is visible in emails and the offer that is sent to the candidate.
We want to make it easy to provide a great experience for all candidates, including those who remain active in the pipeline when archiving a job.
So, we added an option to the archive job modal that lets you automatically reject all remaining candidates who are not in the hired stage.
It works the same as when you bulk reject – you have the option to send a rejection message, choose a template and delay, and even customize the message inline. You are also notified of any sourced candidates among the remaining ones, in case you prefer to handle them separately.
While we were at it, we refreshed the look of the archive modal to better show who got hired, and added some key metrics of the hiring process.
(Oh and by the way – rejecting the remaining candidates also helps ensure your company’s analytics are accurate!)
A few updates that will make your career site work…
…buttery smooth 🧈.
Cover blocks now have optional subtitles and upper notes that can be managed through the editor. You can toggle them on/off using the adjustments menu.
You now have the option of picking a layout for your cover blocks. We've kept the usual layout as the default one, but added two other options.
One of the new layouts splits the cover into an image and content. You can change the order, the image and the colours as you like. Animation works too.
The last layout we introduced is the default layout with a slider that iterates through jobs, highlighting each one on the background.
When moving candidates between stages we have Triggers to streamline your daily work. But, we know there are some cases where you don't want to activate the trigger directly.
So we have added some trigger options to help you:
We have made the app easier to navigate using just the keyboard and when using a screen reader.
If you press the TAB key, before clicking anything, on any page you will see a "Skip to main content" button. By pressing ENTER it will let you skip the navigation and go directly to the main content on that page.
You can use the ESC key to close a dropdown or modal (depending on what is open) correctly
We have improved how buttons and form elements are read by screen readers (like selects and buttons with only an icon etc.)
Now you can use the keyboard to access more things, like buttons that usually only show up when you move your mouse over them.
We’ve introduced a new setting to the employee dashboard that allows you to hide the stage information, including the number of candidates in each stage, within the open jobs section.
We revamped the list view by adding in which step of the approval flow the requisition is and who should be the next approver for it.
Requisition forms can now include instructions and field descriptions to help users fill them out correctly. There's also a new field type to let users attach files to their requisitions. Besides that we made it easier to save the ongoing work by enabling save as Draft even if not all the fields are filled.
As a improvement in the approval flow, now it is possible to create approval flows based on salary as well. New requisitions that are created will consider the salary to choose who should approve the requisition. (Same was added for Job Offer Approval Flows).
With our new "My Requisitions" widget, you can keep up to date on the status of the Requisitions that are waiting for your approval and the ones that you created.
We're limiting the number of hires so that users can't exceed the number of positions approved in requisitions.
If you want to hire more candidates (or make other changes) you can now edit requisitions that have already been approved. This will trigger the approval flow again, where approvers can easily see the proposed changes and deny or approve them.
Do you have jobs with long activity history and struggling to find the activity you are looking for? If so, this new improvement is for you!
Our latest update introduces three new filters for job activities: activity type, user and date range. Combine them any way you like to quickly pinpoint the information you need.
Now employees can set the weekday they consider the first of the week for them. Of course, admins can also set the default one in the Employee Template.
In Your account > Settings the user can choose the Start day of the week between a custom one or the default one. All the calendars around the platform will use the user selected start of week day as the right one.
With this we aim to remove friction when selecting days for meetings and when filling forms out, so the users can use the calendar arrangement as they prefer :)
You've perfected your recruitment process with stages, triggers and other details, and now you would like to create a template based on this. With our latest update, that is now possible.
This feature is only visible for users with access to create templates.
Already have a great video or image you’d like to showcase? Now, you can upload existing content directly to Team Stories through the Teamtailor mobile app. Of course, you can still capture new videos or images on the spot—just like before!
Learn more about the feature in the Team Stories support article.
We're rolling out these changes gradually, so you might not see them right away. But rest assured, we're working hard to bring these improvements to all our customers and their candidates soon!
We've moved the departments and roles settings into Settings > Company > Organization. From there you can maintain your company organization with a more clear visual way.
Thanks for reading this post all the way down here 🥰 That was a lot of updates! And thank you for trusting us and using Teamtailor. We can't wait to build more new features for you in 2025.
